Position DescriptionnLumos Dermatology is seeking a part-time medical assistant who can commit to at least one year.

nn

Responsibilities include:

    n

  • Interviewing patients concerning their visit

    • n

  • Following up on lab tests and prescriptions

    • n

  • Setting up biopsies

    • n

  • Assisting in minor skin surgeries and laser procedures

    • n

  • Answering and triaging phone calls

    • n

  • Scheduling appointments

    • n

  • Checking in patients

    • n

  • Verifying insurance

    • n

Time Commitmentn20 hours per week on Mondays and Saturdays, some Fridays, with a 1-year commitment

CompensationnThe initial training period is volunteer/course credit up to 80 hours and thereafter is course credit and paid $15 an hour.
