Position DescriptionnnThe Department of Population Health at NYU Langone is seeking a student to work as a research data associate. The research data associate will be helping with the department’s 4-year initiative funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Science. The goal of the study is to identify ways to improve care and patient outcomes in primary care practices.

Responsibilities include:

    n

  • Assisting with recruiting participants
  • n

  • Helping field surveys
  • n

  • Entering and reviewing data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • n

  • Documenting all data accurately and neatly
  • n

  • Tracking participant flow through the study and updating tracking logs in an accurate and timely manner
  • n

  • Maintaining participant tracking databases for compliance with data monitoring and confidentiality protocols
  • n

  • Compiling and summarizing date
  • n

  • Assisting with basic data analysis and helping draft results/presenting findings
  • n

  • Conducting structured literature reviews tailored to project needs
  • n

  • Summarizing data for inclusion in reports, papers, or policy briefs as needed
  • n

  • Demonstrating mastery of research protocol
  • n

  • Assisting with administrative duties as needed such as filing, copying, deliveries, and document preparation among others
  • n

  • Assisting with institutional board submissions as needed
  • n

  • Participating in special projects and performing other duties as required
  • n

Position Requirements

    n

  • Competency using research related software such as Stata, SAS, R, Endnote, Qualtrics, Redcap and ATLAS
  • n

  • Interest in health services research, health care administration, or healthcare
  • n

Time Commitment: Full-time

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
