Position DescriptionnnThe Exercise Physiology Laboratory of Columbia University is seeking a clinical research associate and lab technician in the Division of Cardiology. The position includes opportunities to contribute to clinical research papers for publication in medical journals.

Responsibilities include:

    n

  • Conducting details patient interviews

    • n

  • Setting up and interpreting EKGs

    • n

  • Taking patients’ blood pressure

    • n

  • Working as a team with cardiology attendees

    • n

  • Running stress tests on patients diagnosed with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, or other cardiovascular disorders

    • n

  • Clinical research responsibilities for FDA-approved clinical trials

    • n

Position Requirements

    n

  • BLS-certified by start date (ACLS a plus)

    • n

  • Assertive and detail-oriented

    • n

  • Good computer and writing skills

    • n

  • A mechanical and technical mindset

    • n

  • Working knowledge of Excel a plus

    • n

Time CommitmentnnFull-time (35 hours per week) and at least 15 training hours in the month of May

Compensationnn$43,000/yr plus benefits
